Cats finish off sweep of Texas A&M team that was 80-15 at home since 2015

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Kentucky completed its first sweep of a ranked Southeastern Conference foe in five years with an 11-7 victory over Texas A&M in front of 4,472 fans at a sun-splashed Blue Bell Park on Sunday. FLUSHING, N.Y. – Kentucky’s No. 1-ranked duo of senior Aldila Sutjiadi and junior Mami Adachi outlasted No. 12 Gabriela Knutson/Valeria Salazar from Syracuse at the USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships on Saturday afternoon. LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky swimming and diving teams wrapped up its two-day quad meet with Northwestern, Southern Illinois and Southeastern Conference foe Missouri inside Lancaster Aquatic Center on Saturday afternoon. The No. 18 men (4-3, 2-3 SEC) defeated SIU 313-56 and Northwestern 274-98. The No. 21 women (2-4, 1-3 SEC) also overcame the Salukis, 288-72, and Northwestern by a 246-107 margin. Although both squads kept it close, No. 20 Missouri captured a 202-170 win over men, and the No. 17 won 199-52 against the women. Construction on New Baseball Stadium Set to Begin in February

New stadium located off Alumni Drive to open in fall 2018

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky Athletics Department will begin construction on a new baseball stadium in February, Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart announced at a press conference on Monday. Construction is expected to take 18-20 months, meaning the stadium will open in late fall 2018 in time for the 2019 UK baseball season. UK Volleyball – Third Set Comeback Effort Propels Cats to 3-1 Win

Wildcats utilize an 8-1 run late in third set for momentum-shifting win

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Kentucky trailed 23-16 late in the third set and was facing a deficit in the match for the first time in nearly a month. However, the Wildcats would go on an 8-1 run to tie the score at 24 apiece and eventually go on to win the set 32-30 in an epic battle. The momentum-swing was all the UK volleyball team would need to roll to a 3-1 (25-22, 17-25, 32-30, 25-19) win for its eighth-consecutive overall victory.
