Before UK’s game with Tennessee, DeAaron Fox was the big story. Will he play or wont he. Well, he did, unfortunately the Cats did not fair too well, putting on a dismal shooting performance against a very feisty Volunteer team. On Saturday night in Rupp Arena, UK loses it’s point guard, gets zero points and seven turnovers from Briscoe, Mulder was out due to sickness and the Kentucky Wildcats still defeated the number one defense in the country of the South Carolina Gamecocks 85-69. UK looked to be cruising leading Miss. St at the half 46-34 and would lead by as much as 18 points early in the 2nd half. That was before the wheels came off and the Cats nearly gave this game away. Kentucky was outscored 47-42 in the second half. Kentucky was led by Fox with 21. Monk chipped in 14, Willis & Gabriel had 13. Briscoe had 12 Hawkins & Adebayo 5 each, Humphries had 4 and Wynard rounded out the scoring with 1 point.

Junior wide receiver caught 31 passes for 670 yards and four touchdowns in 2016
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky football wide receiver Jeff Badet has announced his plan to transfer, head coach Mark Stoops announced today. Badet, a junior in eligibility, is on track to graduate in May with a degree in agricultural economics and plans to play his final season for another program. Vanderbilt’s Memorial Gym has always been a hard place for opposing teams to play. The facility built in 1952 to honor students and others who were killed during World War II has a very unique design. This Gym was built as a multi-purpose building, so they built the floor above some seats to give it a stage appearance and the sidelines are a lot farther from the stands than most arenas.
Kentucky won their fifth SEC game in a contest that was more challenging than the ending score indicated. The 92-72 victory was a close match for the better part of their fight against Auburn, but the Wildcats pulled away at the end to win by 20 points.
