			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>LOUISVILLE – The O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series presented by Graphic Impressions will return to action Saturday after an off weekend. America’s most competitive regional racing series will visit 201 Speedway for the second time this season for a 50-lap, $5,000-to-win event on America’s 233rd birthday.<br />
The Saturday, July 4 201 Speedway event will feature a full schedule of practice, Racing Optics time trials, Wayne Bowen Racing Supply, Graphic Impressions, C.J. Rayburn Race Cars and All Star Performance qualifying heats, B-Mains and the 50-lap, $5,000-to-win REAL Racing Wheels A-Main. Local divisions in action for the event will include Modifieds, Bombers and Four Cylinders.<br />
Activities for the July 4 201 Speedway event will see the pit area open at 4 p.m.. The general admission area will open at 5 p.m. The driver’s meeting is slated for 7 p.m. with practice, time trials, and racing to follow. Ticket prices for the event will be $20 for general admission and $35 in the pit area.<br />
The O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Super Late Model division has made 16 previous appearances at 201 Speedway. Previous winners of events at 201 Speedway include Eddie Carrier, Jr. (2002, 2003), Aaron Hatton (2003), Tyrel Todd (2004), Paul Harris (2004, 2005, 2007), Whitney McQueary (twice in 2005), Mike Jewell (2006), Chris Combs (2006), Rod Evans (2006), Justin Rattliff (2007), Victor Lee (2008), Tim Tungate (2008) and Josh McGuire (June 2009).<br />
The A-Main purse for the Saturday’s event is as follows: 1st- $5,000, 2nd- $3,000, 3rd- $2,000, 4th- $1,500, 5th- $1,000, 6th- $800, 7th- $750, 8th- $700, 9th- $650, 10th- $600, 11th- $550, 12th- $500, 13th- $450, 14th- $450, 15th- $425, 16th- $425, 17th- $400, 18th- $400, 19th- $350, 20th- $350; 21st through 24th- $300.<br />
The series tire rules are as follows: Hoosier- LM20, 1300, 1350, LM40, 1600, D55; American Racer-SD44, SD48, MD56. These compounds choices must be used on the front and rear tire selections at all sanctioned events. Soft tire compounds must durometer a minimum of 40, while hard tire compounds must durometer a minimum of 60.<br />
Historic 201 Speedway is a 1⁄4 mile high-banked red clay oval promoted by former Super Late Model racer Chuckie May located 5.4 miles north of US 23 on State Road 201, just North of the Sitka community just outside of Paintsville. <p>BARDSTOWN &#8211; The O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series presented by Graphic Impressions visited Bluegrass Speedway for the second straight week and third time during the season Saturday. Mike Jewell (Scottsburg, Ind.) claimed the $3,000 payday in the Clayton Homes of Stanford 30 at the David and Anita Ferrell-promoted half-mile clay oval.<br />
The win for Jewell was his 11th career series win, making him the sixth different series winner in seven events. Jewell’s victory came behind the wheel of his Southern Indiana Rock Drilling/Morgan Foods/MPC Motorsports/Jewell TV/Shelton Angus Farms/Scott County Tire/Pruett’s Auto Repair/KP Radio/Hicks Painting/RacingGraphics.com-sponsored No. 9 MasterSbilt Race Cars, Cornett Race Engines powered entry.  The winning mount also receives product support from Hoosier by Smash, PBM, PPM, All Star Performance, Bazell Race Fuels, Dyer’s, Braswell, Wilwood, Appleton, Simpson, Wayne Bowen Racing Supply, PRC, Barnes, Bayea, Performance Bodies, Team RFC, Sunoco and Frankland Supply.<br />
Hazard driver Eric Wells finished second in the David Wells-owned Expressions Floral and Gifts/Wells Motorsports-sponsored Rocket/Custom. Mike Marlar (Winfield, Tenn.) claimed third in his Doors-N-More/Marlar and Son Auto Dismantling-sponsored Rocket/ Estes.  Jeff Watson (Campbellsville) concluded the feature race fourth in the Finn and Jeff Watson-owned Brad Burton Dairy Farms/Watson Plumbing-sponsored MasterSbilt/HP. David Webb (Nicholasville) completed the top five in the David and John Webb-owned ORS Auto Body and Collision/Valvoline sponsored Rayburn/Pro Power.<br />
The remainder of the top-10 in the Clayton Homes of Stanford 30 was comprised of Victor Lee, Tim Tungate, Aaron Hatton, Larry Gray, Jr., and Dustin Neat. The 30 lap, $3,000 to win event included seven caution flags with one turning into a red flag.<br />
The next event for the O’Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Super Late Models will take place on Saturday, July 4 at 201 Speedway in Sitka.  The  event will be a 50-lap, $5,000 to win points events.<br />

Gabbert rolls to BoB Modified Series Victory</p>
<p>RICHMOND &#8211; The Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series presented by Graphic Impressions visited Richmond Raceway Saturday evening. Russ Gabbert (Berea) led 24 of the BOB feature race’s 35 laps en route to his biggest career payday, claiming the $2,000 first-place purse.<br />
Gabbert claimed his first career series win. Saturday night’s win made him the 26th different series winner. He is the fourth different winner with the tour in 2009.  Gabbert’s win came behind the wheel of the Cora and Russ Gabbert owned DQ Grill and Chill/Mayhem Motorsports/ A&amp;H Machine and Fabrication/Bruce Potter Excavating/B&amp;B Homes/Harold’s Auto Parts/Puckett’s Pit Stop-sponsored No. 11 Bandit Race Cars, Dale Meers Race Engines powered machine.<br />
Randy Turpin (Lebanon) scored his best career series finish to date with a second place effort in the Josh and Randy Turpin-owned Cedarwood Restaurant/Thomas and Son Trucking-sponsored Bandit/Dale Meers mount. Dennis Roberson (Lexington) claimed third-place in the Mark Trimble and Peydon Pelphrey owned Mortgage Suppliers/Homestead Estates sponsored Lightning/GCP unit. Don Adams( London) took fourth in his Lightning Chassis/FAST Company Shocks-sponsored Lightning/Mullins machine. Bryan Barber (Greensburg) completed the top five in his Roby’s Country Gardens/B&amp;B Motorsports-sponsored Bandit/Jay Dickens mount.<br />
The remainder of the top-10 finishers at the Richmond Raceway event were Elliott Despain, Kelly Warren, Joey Kramer, Gary Ward and David Adams.  The 35-lap, $2,000 to win event included two caution flags.<br />
The next event for the Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series will take place on Friday July 3 at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio.  The Modified Mania event will pay $1,500 to the winner.<br />
